How Our Boutique Training Helps You Run Your Business!

Starting a career as an Apricot Lane franchise owner is an exciting time, one that all our franchisees have worked hard for. You’ll Start at Home

Your journey toward getting ready to operate your beautiful and unique clothing boutique franchise with us begins at home. That’s where you’ll take part in 40 hours of in-home boutique training, to be conducted at your own pace and on your own schedule. You’ll study our proprietary training manuals that are electronically stored on a password-protected intranet,  take tests on their content, and learn about some of the software we use during this training. You’ll also learn more about the inventory management technology we use to keep track of the clothing and accessories you’ll be purchasing for your new boutique. Your 40 hours of in-home training will be done before you know it, at which point, it’s time for phase two of your training.

You’ll Move to the Classroom

After those first 40 hours are completed, you’ll spend five days of classroom time at our beautiful Sacramento Valley corporate location, where we’ll go over everything you need to know about buying merchandise, managing your store and its inventory, delivering first-rate customer service, and marketing your boutique, among other important topics. You’ll also be able to spend one of those days visiting the Los Angeles fashion district, where you’ll meet with our on-site buyer and some key suppliers, who will give you a big-picture overview of our exciting fast-fashion industry.

You’ll Go on Location

Here’s where you’ll spend three to five days at your new Apricot Lane boutique, learning the art of visual merchandising from our expert teams who specialize in store openings. You’ll also learn more about our sales systems, and we’ll help you train your staff on how to deliver top-notch customer service, as well as how to speak knowledgeably about our products. Here, too, is where we make sure every last detail of your boutique opening is addressed, assuring a smooth and successful store opening.
