At its core, Apricot Lane Boutique is a business that empowers women everywhere to work for themselves. Starting as a small gift shop in California and blossoming into a franchise brand with over 100 locations across the nation would not have been possible without the insight and assistance of our amazing franchisees.
From the start, Apricot Lane Boutique has brought business opportunities to communities all over the United States by focusing on providing women on-trend fashions and shopping experiences they need and desire. Becoming an Apricot Lane Boutique franchisee allows you to curate your locally owned, nationally supported business. In concert with your skills and experience take control of your future and your career by creating the fashion boutique destination in your marketplace.
Apricot Lane retail boutiques are supported by our franchisor, Country Visions, Inc. This unique partnership—made up of Ken Petersen, Tom Brady, and Scott Jacobs—opened its first retail gift store in 1991 in Vacaville, California. Their operation was an instant success.
Led by the founding partners and a dedicated staff at Country Visions, the very first Apricot Lane Boutique is opened. Seeing immediate success with the concept, and seeing opportunity in several other markets, plans are made to open additional new Apricot Lane Boutiques each year.
In spring of 2008, the prestigious International Council of Shopping Centers Association (ICSC) awarded Apricot Lane as the Hot Retail Concept for Fashion. ICSC’s membership of more than 70,000 people cast their votes to give this award to Apricot Lane. That same year, Apricot Lane made Entrepreneur Magazine’s list of the Top 50 Hottest Franchises of the Year.
Starting in 2009—and every year through 2017—Apricot Lane has been ranked on Entrepreneur Magazine’s coveted annual Top 500 List, which ranks the best franchise opportunities in the United States.
